Three teens injured in Offaly hit-and-run

The incident took place on the Tullamore to Geashill road yesterday evening.

THREE TEENAGERS HAVE been injured in a road crash involving two vehicles which took place outside Tullamore, Co Offaly yesterday evening.

The incident took place at 7.50pm yesterday on the Tullamore  to Geashill road. It is understood one of the cars involved left the scene before emergency services arrived.

A male suffered serious injuries in the crash but Gardaí said this morning they were not life threatening. Two females who were also in the car suffered minor injuries and all three are still in hospital.

The road was closed off in both directions last night and remains closed this morning with diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time who may have information about the incident to contact Tullamore Garda Station on 0579327600.
