Ollie sniffs out €60k of cocaine at Shannon Airport, two men arrested

The pair had ingested over 100 pellets containing the drug.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED two men at Shannon Airport who ingested 100 pellets of cocaine.

The drugs have an estimated street value of €60,000.

The pair, both Irish and in their 40s, were questioned by gardaí after Revenue sniffer dog Ollie alerted officials to the men during a routine operation.

The incident occurred earlier this week after the Bank Holiday weekend after the two men returned from Spain.

The drugs were passed under medical supervision.

Investigations are ongoing.
