Updated 1.25pm

A MAN HAS been killed and another has been injured at a shooting in a Dublin pub in the early hours of this morning.

Both victims, who are reported to both be 21, were attacked in the Black Horse Inn on Tyrconnell Road shorty after midnight.

One of the men died after he was admitted to hospital. The other man’s injuries are described as not life threatening, RTÉ reports.

It is reported on breakingnews.ie that the shooting was carried out by a lone gunman who fled the scene on foot but fired more shots in the direction of the pub as he left.

It is also reported that about an hour prior to the fatal shooting, two armed men entered the same pub. The two men with guns appeared to be looking for a number of individuals but then left the premises and drove in the direction of Bluebell.

The scene of the attack has been the subject of a forensic and technical examination by the garda technical bureau this morning and an investigation is underway.
