Open thread: What show are you planning on binge-watching next?

It’s a serious consideration.

HERE’S A QUESTION for you – what TV show are you planning on watching next?

And by ‘watching’ we mean of course ‘binge-watching’. There’s just no other way.  No matter how hard you try you’ll be sucked into the ‘just one more episode…’ excuse and before you know it it’ll be 2am.

But who needs sleep, right?

It’s a very serious question – you’re going to be spending a lot of time with this new show, depending on how many seasons you have to catch up on, so it has to be worth it.

So how do you decide what show to watch?

Do you jump right in as soon as something’s released or do you wait for a while and see how it’s panning out – if it’s even worth your time investment?

While a lot of the greats of American TV have finished over the past couple of years (Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, Mad Men, Breaking Bad – we salute you) there’s still a wealth of shows to choose from like Homeland,  Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., or Call the Midwife.

And the final thing to consider is, have you managed to avoid spoilers?

If you’re planning on watching a show that’s already over and done with like The Wire, The Sopranos or The West Wing and you haven’t managed to to have it ruined by spoilers – clearly you’ve been living under a rock, but that’s ok. You’re in for a treat.

With so much excellent television around, both from the States as well as this side of the water, you’re just spoilt for choice about what to watch next.

So think long and hard about this your decision – because you’re going to come to love these characters, feel like they’re family and friends, and eventually… have to say goodbye.
