Pipe bomb explodes in Dublin garden of elderly woman

Gardaí said nobody was injured in the explosion.

GARDAÍ WERE CALLED to the scene of a pipe bomb explosion in Dublin last night.

A spokesperson confirmed that gardaí were called to the scene after the device had gone off at around 9.30pm.

Fortunately, nobody was injured but a TheJournal.ie reader said that the house in the Foxhill estate of Donaghmede belongs to an elderly woman.

Gardaí at Coolock Garda Station are investigating the incident and can be contacted on 01 666 4200.

Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
