Plane tyre bursts on landing at Dublin Airport

The plane had just arrived from the Isle of Man when the incident happened. All 29 passengers were unhurt and disembarked safely.

A PLANE LANDING at Dublin Airport burst a tyre as it landed on the runway at the airport earlier this morning.

Aer Arann, which was operating the Aer Lingus Regional flight, says all 29 passengers as well as the crew disembarked from the aircraft normally and safely after the incident.

The plane had been travelling from the Isle of Man.

The main runway at Dublin Airport is now closed but there are no disruptions to arrivals or departures at the airport. A cross-wind runway is being used instead.

The passenger airplane had departed from the Isle of Man just after 10am and had arrived in Dublin at 10.45am.

Fire services attended the scene this morning as a precaution.
