Come on Kevin. Bit of a blanket statement there. The article even says it is amongst the “ultra-orthodox” how much of the population do you think that may be? Kevin your comment is very misleading. You make it sound like this is the norm in Israel. I lived there for 2 years using the bus every day. This was in no way at all the practice.

700,000 out of 6 million Israeli Jews, so pretty close to one in six. It is a generalised comment, but it just shows that civil rights isn’t done yet, even in countries with might like to call “our own”.
