AS AMERICA DEALS with yet another gun-related tragedy, there are once again calls for a tighter regulation of the country’s gun laws.
President Obama gave a brief insight into the immense difficulties which would face any attempts to make such a change, when he said that “we’re going to have to come together and take meaningful action,” hinting at the many obstacles which have so far prevented this from happening.
Millions of weapons are legally held in America. With the right to bear arms enshrined in its constitution, and the National Rifle Association (NRA) committed, and funded, to protect it, any changes to America’s current gun laws will be hard fought, and harder won.
This morning, we’re asking whether you believe that tightening America’s gun laws would see a marked decrease in the number of mass shootings it continues to experience?
