Poll: Is it okay to break up with someone by text?

Apparently that’s how One Direction star Zayn Malik dumped his fiancée.

IS IT EVER okay to break up with someone over a text message?

There are reports that that’s how former One Direction star Zayn Malik dumped his fiancée, Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards.

And according to a study by US company Vouchercloud, 56% of those who went through a break up in 2013, ended their relationship digitally – whether over text message, social media or email.

One woman who had it done to her, said that while at first she viewed it as “the coward’s way out”, she now sees why people do it.

So today we’re asking,  Is it ever okay to break up with someone by text?

Poll Results:

No (7800)
Yes (2267)
I don't know (536)
