Poll: Do you make an effort to buy Irish food?

The Irish Food Guide was launched yesterday, and its authors said that things “have never been so good in Irish speciality food”. Do you make an effort to buy Irish food?

THERE ARE MORE people conscious than ever before on buying Irish foods, John McKenna, co-author of the Irish Food Guide, said yesterday.

He was speaking to the Irish Times about the launch of the 10th edition of the book, which gives a guide to the best Irish foods.

Due to this summer’s bad weather, crops have been affected and farmers have been described as being “in distress” due to the knock-on effects of this.

But initiatives like Taste of Dublin, the Irish Good Food Guide, local farmers’ markets and more all aim to shine a spotlight on the great Irish produce that’s available year round, from fruit and vegetables to meat and dairy products.

Do you make an effort to buy Irish food?
