THE CONVENTION ON the Constitution sits for the sixth time today and this time they will debate extending the vote in Presidential elections to Irish citizens living abroad.

Irish citizens in 64 countries submitted answers to a questionnaire sent out by the convention.

Northern Ireland’s Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness MLA will address the convention in favour of the proposal with a specific emphasis on voting rights for Irish citizens living in the North.
