Poll: Have you ever lied to a politician?

Ever told someone you’d vote for them – just so they’d get out of the damn way?

THEJOURNAL.IE’S BEEN OUT on the trail recently, and whatever about the reputations of politicians in general, we’ve found that some members of the public can be less than trustworthy too.

In pursuit of a quiet life, it seems many voters are happy simply to promise their ‘number one’ to a candidate in order to get them away from their doorstep.

Time to own up. Have you ever lied to a politician so you could go back to cooking your dinner/watching Homeland/staring enigmatically into the middle-distance?
