Poll: Should Eamon Gilmore step down as leader of the Labour party?

MEP Phil Prendergast made the call following the party’s poor performance in recent opinion polls.

MEP PHIL PRENDERGAST has called for Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore to step down as leader of the Labour party.

Her call for action follows the party receiving a “disproportionate kicking” in opinion poll results, and said that there has a been a “crisis” in Labour for the past year and a half.

“At this stage, I just think we need a change from the leadership,” she said.
