Poll: Should schools and parents have matching rules on smartphones?

New advice from the Department of Education says just this.

A NEW CIRCULAR from the Department of Education to schools is seeking to ensure that schools have policies in place regarding smartphones and tablets.

Among the directives are that schools should: “Promote a shared approach regarding the appropriate use of digital technologies in the school and home.”

This could be interpreted as promoting that parents enforce similar rules on phones at home as are in place in school. Today we’re asking if this is a good idea?
