Poll: Will you call into a neighbour today?

On Christmas Day, is there someone outside the family that you’ll be checking in on?

CHRISTMAS DAY IS thought of as a chaotic family day. Some people, however, have no-one to visit them – like this elderly man who advertised in the Irish Post to find someone to spend the day with.

Do you think you’ll be visiting someone today – to drop in a dinner, or just call in – who isn’t a relative or close loved one?

We’d like to hear your stories – or indeed if you will be the recipient of such a visit.

Poll Results:

B - Not today but on another day over the season (614)
C - Yes, I'll be checking in on someone (371)
D - I would like someone to call to me (343)
A - No, I won't get a chance (144)
