Poll: Will you watch the Taoiseach's state of the nation address?

Ahead of an important week for the nation, the Taoiseach will be on our screens tomorrow night, but will you be watching?

AS WIDELY ANTICIPATED, the government has confirmed that Taoiseach Enda Kenny will address the nation tomorrow night ahead of a crucial week for the country.

On Monday and Tuesday we will get details of Budget 2012 with some €3.8 billion in adjustments expected while later in the week a crucial EU summit takes place where the very survival of the eurozone appears to be at stake.

There are few details of what the Taoiseach will say, but it is expected his address will last between 10 and 15 minutes and the significance of it cannot be downplayed. It will be only the sixth time a leader has addressed the nation in this manner and the first time in 25 years.

RTÉ One will broadcast the speech just after the Nine O’Clock News while viewers on TV3 will have to wait until X Factor finishes to see it at 10.15pm.

So we’re asking today will you watch Enda Kenny’s address to the nation?

Poll Results:

Yes, after the news (1791)
No (866)
Yes, after X Factor (329)
I don't know (213)

TV3 says it can’t interrupt X Factor for Taoiseach’s state of the nation address >
