Poll: If you won the lottery, would you stay anonymous?

A group of Dublin Bus drivers have chosen to be named – would you do that?

IF YOU WIN the National Lottery or Euromillions, you have a choice: stay anonymous or go public.

If you stay anonymous, it might be tricky to explain away your sudden windfall. But if you go public, you have to contend with strangers knowing about your financial affairs.

A group of 22 Dublin Bus drivers scooped over €1 million each after their syndicate won €24m in the Euromillions lottery. They’ve decided to go public, and will travel to the National Lottery headquarters today to be pictured collecting their cheque.

But what about you: If you won the lottery, would you stay anonymous?

Poll Results:

I'd stay anonymous (19157)
I don't play the lottery (1074)
I don't know (685)
I'd go public (591)
