Just came across this from the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada.

http://www.dca.med.ualberta.ca/Home/Updates/2007-03-15_Update.cfm

Dr. Evangelos Michelakis, a professor at the U of A Department of Medicine, has shown that dichloroacetate (DCA) causes regression in several cancers, including lung, breast, and brain tumors.

At the end of the day cancer is affecting us all and we should be investigating and researching ALL possible cures not ridiculing the ones that dont sit with us because we come from a scientific background etc Its ignorant to claim something cant cure cancer because its a herb or its not a chemical from a pharma company. All medicines originally were plant based or animal based. And to say that they are 100% not supressing a cure is just ignorant too. You cant know for sure 100% either way.

We pour millions into cancer research. So where is it actually getting us?

Noone is saying things can or can’t cure cancer. What was being spouted earlier was (a) that there is a hidden cure for cancer and (b) that plants that are heretofor not being used as medicine can cure cancer. Both complete nonsense. If you present to me randomised controlled trial data of whatever it is you claim can cure cancer, BEYOND the placebo effect then I’ll accept it. Not lab studies, not anecdotal evidence, but real peer-reviewed study results.
