I hope the idiots who turned down the €500K offer are found and fired if they haven’t already been!

You will probably find these idiots in a position of power working in a large organization such as a bank these were the people who helped to sink the country

    Sara
I would like to see all of the paperwork on this loan as this sad story is a complicated one of relationship breakdown coupled with massive self publicity rather then a straightforward collapse of property values and perhaps loss of income. We have been watching this story develop like a Soap Opera over the past few years so there is nothing normal about it.

No chance, I bet the people in charge of this are the very same ones looking for a bonus from Noonan, it is happening up and down the country, one couple offered to pay €150,000 for there home money they could borrow from family members and the bank refused, instead opting for to put the house up for auction, it fetched €40 k at auction and was bought by one of the couples sister for cash, now that couple still live in the house and the bank can go and FCUK off.

@Christina Finn you need to clarify your relationship with the subject of this article, it reflects badly on the integrity of The Journal when comments are deleted or censored, almost as bad as the horrific spelling you have used.

The bank doesn’t care that they ended up getting less for the house. They get their own debts written off. They just didn’t want to set a precedent whereby they broke the in house % offer rule on accepting repayments from ‘ordinary’ people. Its not who you know, it’s who you blow, just ask pinky and the brain, sorry, I meant edna and noonan.

Would you even be surprised if the very person who declined the 500k and 220k was the one who then snapped it up for themselves at a bargain basement 150. I wouldn’t put it past them!
