No matter what shyte Noonan and Howlin come out with, you can be sure it will be smoke and mirrors. It’s amazing how all this room for manoeuvre has emerged in time for budget day. Maybe there wouldn’t be so much room if they weren’t fiddling the books by moving around the 1.2 billion contribution made by the public toward provision of water services or the 750 million local government allocation withdrawn from local councils.
Creative accounting is probably the kindest description, downright theft I call it.

    According to Irish water they expect 1 in 5 not to pay, somehow I think that number could be higher. So could be a big shortfall in that 1.2 billion they’re hoping to get.
