Still waiting for the recovery and stability to come……think they said it would be here by Monday………

I am currently attending a Novas seminar on homelessness and I can tell you that not only has the situation gotten worse, it’s also being downplayed by our current administration.

One thing I’ve not seen here this morning are any local counsellors or TD’s.
With our boy Leo claiming house prices of 350,000 euros is affordable.

Affordable for who??…..

What planet is he living in?

Let him come here and explain to the many people here who are in emergency accommodation and with no prospect of things getting any better how these house prices are affordable.

Let him come here and explain to the children who are suffering with physical and mental trauma how government policy is directly infringing on the rights of those very children, let him explain how the policy of upward only rent is emphasising the fact that their future is bleak, let him explain how our elected officials have no backbone to adopt real change.

This issue along with many others are an absolute disgrace and we the citizens of this country should not for one second stand for this.
