Two men attacked with bats and a hammer during burglary

The PSNI is asking for witnesses to the attempted burglary which occurred in the early hours of this morning.

POLICE IN LARNE in county Antrim are appealing for information after a report of an aggravated burglary in which a man was assaulted.

The incident occurred in the Greenland Parade area in the early hours of this morning.

Shortly after 12:15 am, it was reported that three masked men entered a house in the area armed with baseball bats and a hammer.

Two men who were in the house at the time of the incident were assaulted, but it is not believed that anything was taken during the incident.

Damage was also reported to the front door of the property and a window.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact CID in Larne Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
