PSNI issue an appeal for a man following Derry shooting

The PSNI wish to talk to Kieran McLaughlin.

IN A MOST unusual step the Police in Northern Ireland have taken the step of warning the public about a man they wish to speak with in connection with the murder of Barry McCrory in the Shipquay Street area of Derry yesterday.

The are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the current whereabouts of 58 year old Kieran McLaughlin who is described as being 5’7″ tall, of medium build, with blue eyes and grey hair.  He is believed to be wearing dark coloured clothing.

Shooting

McCrory was shot dead in the city centre at about 11am yesterday morning.

The public are requested not to approach this person, but are asked to contact police immediately on 0845 600 8000 if they think they know of his whereabouts.

Police are also appealing to Mr McLaughlin to contact police immediately.
