let the sun shine

After a sunny week it's all rain and spot flooding for the weekend

It’s not going anywhere. The rain that is. The sunshine has left.

ARE YOU TRYING to make outdoor plans for the weekend?

It’s certainly not going to be all sunshine and roses. Not at all.

Cloudy weather and rain in Leinster and east Munster will spread to most areas today with the rain becoming heavy at times.

Met Éireann even warned of spot flooding for today.

However, some areas along the west coast will escape the rain and stay mainly dry.

Tonight will be cloudy and misty with further rain and drizzle and lowest temperatures of just three degrees.

Things aren’t looking much better for Sunday with the forecaster warning of more cloudy spells, rain and showers.

Holding out hope for Monday? Don’t bother, it added, “Monday will also bring more rain to parts as a weather front stalls over the country.”

Sunshine may peep through on Tuesday at some stage with mainly dry weather and temperatures reaching 13 degrees in the afternoon.
