That sentence is far too lenient. The man is 30 now. When he comes out at 40 (or before because of ‘good behaviour’), he could do the same again to someone else. More needs to be done to protect people from monsters like this.

In Ireland we don’t have a “rape culture”. We send people guilty of this evil crime to prison for 10 years. Whereas in Eqypt mass sexual assaults were common in Tahrir Square during the Arab spring. That sounds like a rape culture to me. Just saying.

I don’t know how solicitors can not only defend people like this but actually try to get them off. “He’s enrolled in an English course to try better himself”. He’s here since 2006 with 16 convictions!

Sure judges where giving out 7 years sentences for manslaughter and they would not serve the whole sentence. And what about concurrent sentences disgrace so the more offences you committee the more you can get away with. Like buy 1 get 1 free!

Angry, nothing new to say ~ I do believe that he should have been deported long ago. Reoffending, he is a huge burden on the state and shows sign of rehabilitating and then instead of marching him to the Plane back to from whence he came ~ he gets 10 years, he will do 6 and do it again.

Sadly, Drink is a huge problem in cities all over Dublin. Women are vulnerable while drunk [as are men] most men are stronger though. Defences are down when ‘very drunk’ so why oh why don’t women take care of themselves. No doubt I will be called a female George Hook.

Concurrent sentences are incredibly stupid it‘s like giving a bonus to a criminal for bad behaviour.
Why would someone stop offending if he knows there will be no consequences for repeated criminal behaviour!
It‘s just ludicrous and pathetic!
2 rapes should be 22 years, 3 rapes 33 and so on and definitely never ever any parole for multiple crimes!
