Presenter Ray Foley is set to leave 98FM

He will be presenting his last show on Christmas Eve.

PRESENTER RAY FOLEY has announced that he will be leaving Dublin radio station 98FM.

He will present his last show with the station on Christmas Eve and plans to concentrate on his television work into the New Year.

Speaking ahead of his departure, he said:

98FM has been a big part of my life for the past three years. I’ve been lucky to work with a really fantastic team each morning, and I would like to thank them for everything.

The presenter joined the station after leaving Today FM back in 2012.

Him and his sidekick JP Gilbourne have presented the morning show from 6am to 10am.

Speaking about the decision Keith McCormack, chief executive of 98FM said:

“On behalf of everyone here at 98FM I would like to thank Ray for his hard work and dedication to the station over the past three years.”

He went on to say that the breakfast slot would be filled in the new year by a new show featuring “great music our listeners love”, with full details to be announced later.
