i dont think the death penalty is right especially not in states like texas and countries like china, they seem to just execute everyone and especially in america there are always reports of ethnic minorities getting executed and white people not being executed for the same crime. i think when someone receives a life sentence it should mean life! none of this crap of a life sentence meaning 12 years! also i think they should bring back hard labour! make them useful instead of costing the state €75k a year to sit on their arse!!!

Think tent city is that prison in america where they live in bunks in tents, are made to wear pink,& are forced into hard labour every day!! It’s apparently quite effective in keeping people from repeat crimes!!!

I completely disagree with the death penalty. In no way do I think it is right for anyone to take away someone’s life, no matter how many lives that person took away!!! Lifetime in prison, facing a miserable existence for 60 or so years is a much better punishment!!

A legal penalty of death only speaks to a society that formally and officially accepts, endorses and ultimately promotes violence and disregard for the sanctity of human life.

Why don’t we just go back to the days of public hangings. We can all throw rotten fruit at people too. Or drag people through the streets tied to the back of a horse.

I find it odd that judges and lawyers arguing over the issue haven’t seen an execution. Why should you be so adamant that the death penalty is the right course of action when you never seen one.

Capital Punishment should never be an option.

Apart from the possibility of someone being innocent due to false statements, planted evidence, mis-sightings etc it turns the law and the people that abide by it into murderers.

If a murderer, however heinous their crime, is caught, the law should show a strong stance that it will never stoop to the degrading level of a killer and take a life.Society must preserve life, even if that means preserving the life of some filth like Breivik!We have a moral obligation to show that we are the opposite to a murderer.Anyway, Murdering some criminal is the easy option, why not let them rot in a small cell,crippled with boredom and their own minds for the rest of their natural lives knowing they have been passed by the world revolving outside and have been forgotten about….they will have lived an unfulfilled life….that to me is the punishment they deserve!Life means Life!

These inmates deserve to get the death penaly because of their actions.
They consider no one or the consequences when they commit crime, murder and whatever.
Lethal injection is good, let them suffer a bit, however if you want it done quicker
give me a glock 19 or a beretta and a decent paycheck and ill take a full time job!
