THE FUNERAL MASS for Captain Mark Duffy will take place tomorrow morning at 11am at Blackrock church, Co Louth.
The family have asked that Mark’s wish for everyone to carry an organ donor card be made public.
The chief pilot had trained as a pilot in the US, and worked for several years with the California Coast Guard.
He had referred to his role with the Coast Guard as his “dream job”.
He had survived by his wife, Hermione, and two children, Esmé and Fionn.
Duffy’s body was recovered from the wreckage of the Irish Coast Guard helicopter on Sunday.
He, along with fellow crew members Paul Ormsby and Ciarán Smith, had been missing since the Sikorsky S92 helicopter disappeared on its way to refuel at Blacksod lighthouse on 13 March.
Captain Dara Fitzpatrick was recovered from the sea and died later in hospital. She was buried last weekend.
Both winch operator Ormsby and winchman Smith have yet to be recovered, with rescue efforts continuing.
