In photos: Two men arrested after water meter van blocked with staff inside

They were held at Irishtown garda station.

TWO MEN WERE arrested in Dublin after a water meter installation van was blocked with staff inside.

The incident took place at Rialto Cottages this morning.

Gardaí say the two men aged 56 and 65 have now been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

A number of anti-water charge protesters were present – with many wearing masks.

It comes after two rallies were held on Saturday demonstrating against the jailing of five water protesters on Thursday.

It was also announced over the weekend that two prisoners, Derek Byrne and Paul Moore are on hunger strike.
