There are currently no regulations in place to deal with rickshaws in the capital.

As things stand, gardaí can only treat the operators like they would any other cyclists.

There are plans to introduce measures to regulate the vehicles and service.

However, JPC chair Daithí De Róiste said he believed rickshaws should be banned.
