Man arrested in Donegal after recovery of rifle

The rifle was discovered as part of an ongoing garda investigation during the search of a house in Ballyshannon this evening.

GARDAÍ IN DONEGAL have arrested a man and seized a rifle in the search of a house at Ballyshannon this evening.

The man in his 40s was arrested at the scene.

He is currently detained at Ballyshannon Garda Station where he can be held for up to 72 hours for questioning.

Gardaí said this evening’s search is part of an ongoing investigation and enquiries are continuing.
