Two arrested over armed robbery at Dublin off-licence

The men are being questioned at Blanchardstown Garda Station over the robbery on Friday afternoon in which staff were threatened.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested over an armed robbery at an off-licence in Dublin 15 over the weekend.

The men, one in his early 20s and the other in his early 40s, are being questioned at Blanchardstown Garda Station over the robbery which happened on the Clonsilla Road at around 3pm on Friday afternoon.

One man, believed to have been armed with a firearm, left the off-licence with an amount of cash after threatening staff. A second man was waiting in a getaway car outside.

No shots were fired and nobody was injured during the incident.

The men were both arrested by investigating Gardaí as part of a follow up search.
