Mum pushing pram is kicked in face by robbers

The child was not hurt during the incident, which occurred in Belfast.

A MOTHER PUSHING her child in a pram was assaulted by robbers earlier today.

The PSNI said that detectives are appealing for information following the street robbery in the Roden Street area of Belfast.

They said that at approximately 3pm, as a woman was walking along the road pushing her child in a pram she was approached from behind by two unknown males.

They pulled her to the ground and kicked her in the face before making off with her bag. The woman’s purse was located a short time later in an alleyway at the rear of Roden Street.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening. Her child was not hurt during this incident.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them at Musgrave on 0845 600 8000.
