Extradition for Roscommon man over failing to notify of change in residence

The PSNI said a European Arrest Warrant was issued in relation to failure to notify of a change in a place of residence, as required by the Sex Offenders Act 2001.

A ROSCOMMON MAN arrested in Northern Ireland yesterday is to be extradited.

He was arrested in connection with failing to notify about a change in a place of residence, as required by the Sex Offenders Act 2001.

The PSNI said that the 45-year-old man from the Roscommon area was arrested by police in Enniskillen yesterday evening, Tuesday 15 January. He was arrested under a European Arrest Warrant.

Extradition proceedings will take place in due course, the PSNI said.

The man is currently in custody and is due to appear at Belfast Recorders Court today.
