Ryanair sees record August passenger numbers

8.9 million passengers travelled with Ryanair in August, with 25 million using the airline company over the summer months

RYANAIR SAW RECORD numbers of passengers travelling with it last month, capping off a busy summer for the airline.

During the summer months, Ryanair operated over 150,000 flights, while it carried over 25m passengers.

This included a record 8.9m in August, its highest-ever monthly total.

It said that of these flights, a record 93 per cent were on time over the months of June, July and August. Ten of Ryanair’s 152,000 flights were cancelled during this three-month period.

Ryanair carried over 25m passengers during the three summer months, with over 8m in each of July and August, resulting in the new monthly record of 8.9m passengers in August.
