Search for James Sheehan continues for a fifth day

The 18-year-old was last seen in the early hours of Sunday morning.

THE SEARCH FOR a missing teenager in Arklow has resumed this morning.

James Sheehan, 18, has not been seen since Sunday morning and a search for him resumed at first light this morning.

Local gardaí, the Garda Water unit, the Civil Defence, Boyne Fisherman’s Rescue and the local community have all been involved in the search which will today focus on the area around the Avoca River.

Sheehan was last seen leaving a nightclub in Arklow, Co Wicklow on Sunday morning just after 2.30am.

The Irish Independent reports today that the Gardaí believe he was planning to meet a friend and last made contact at 5am when he sent a text asking ‘where are you’.

He is described as being 6 foot 2 inches in height, of athletic build, and has short red hair.
