Well if these mindless idiots keep planting bombs it’s only a matter of time before innocent people and children end up seriously injured or dead.

Enda Kenny, you put so much faith in Dolores Price, you quote her ‘intelligence’ reports in the Dail. If you trust her so much, is there any chance you could use your influence to ask her and her anti-democratic FFG supporters to stop what they are doing?

All democratic parties in the North give her and her ilk zero tolerance. You, on the other hand, seem to quote her lies and propaganda in the Dail as if you are best buddies. Please ask your friends to cease and desist from their path. It brings nothing but hardship to all peoples on this Island.

I have just lived in Belfast for 2 years, loved it, the north is truly underrated. What would often happen though is like on the Friday if a bank holiday is an alert would be called in and all the motorways shut. There are always suspicious devices popping up, what surprised me at first was that they are rarely reported. Is there any journalistic criteria to determine when to report these I wonder?

To do otherwise would be to abdicate responsibility and hope for the best, and suffer the consequences.
If you get information on an alert, i would stringly advise you to send the alert with the source of your information to the likes of Journal.ie. You will be doing the public a service.

  • The only reason these occurences seem common here is because no other news outlet bothers to report them

Why are some people in the north going down this road again. That’s all in the past and we all get along much better now. Some people will always be angry.

Alan V that’s a nice stance to take but very simplistic and innocent. As others have already stated, recent events are nothing new really – the media pick and choose what to report as they always have done

  • Cal,
don’t be too hard on Kenny. He doesn’t have as much insight into the inner workings of terrorism as you Shinners do. But I agree that we must all hope its just a hoax and urge those who do know how to influence the new generation of terrorists ( MMcG, Dessie and the rest) to abandon the path of violence
