Shades and sun hats: Day 1 of the Eucharistic Congress

Over 12,500 pilgrims from around the world gathered at the RDS today for the opening ceremony.

PLENTY OF GROUPS are renowned for their hats and accessories – the British monarchy and horseracing fans immediately come to mind. Not so much the Catholic Church…until now.

Thanks to Laura Hutton of Photocall Ireland who joined 12,500 pilgrims as the sun surprised them at the RDS today.
