Man shot at in Dublin carpark

The man escaped uninjured.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING a shooting near two Dublin apartment complexes  last night.

They said that gardaí at Kilmainham in Dublin are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a shooting incident which occurred at a car park adjacent to Islandbridge Court Apartments and Bellevue Apartments, Islandbridge, Dublin 8 at approximately 6.55pm last night.

From initial investigations, it appears that a red Honda Civic car with an 08 –D registration rammed another car, a silver BMW 01- D, at the above location.

The two male occupants of the red Honda Civic left from this car and ran after the 35-year-old male occupant of the silver BMW.

They then fired a number of shots at this man, who escaped into Bellevue Apartments and was uninjured.

One of the gunmen is described as being 5’ 8”, wearing a grey jacket and blue jeans. There is no description of the second man.

Garda units attended the scene and commenced a search, and no arrests have been made so far.
