Two men released after arrest over shooting at Dublin apartment block

A man’s car was rammed and he had several shots fired at him on 1 November last.

THE TWO MEN who were arrested yesterday in connection with an attempted shooting of a man at an Dublin apartment block in November have been released.

The two men, both in their 30s, were arrested in Dublin city yesterday and were questioned at Irishtown and Kilmainham Garda Stations under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Gardaí said a file on the two men will now be prepared for the the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The incident happened at Islandbridge Court Apartments/Bellevue Apartments car park on the evening of Saturday 1 November.

A red Honda Civic car rammed another car at the location.

Two men who were in the Honda then ran after the driver of the other vehicle, firing a number of shots.

The man, however, was uninjured and escaped into the Bellevue Apartments.
