SINN FÉIN COUNCILLOR John Brady has gone all romantic mid-campaign.

The Wicklow candidate’s campaign team has been hand-delivering 14,000 Valentine’s cards to voters.

Inside, it contains a touching poem:

Labour are red,
Fine Gael are blue,
Fianna Fáil show their colours true,
But trust John Brady to work for you.

Be still our beating hearts.

A Sinn Féin spokesperson confirmed the card was real and said Brady wanted to “share the love and try to brighten up people’s days”.

He is not the only candidate to try to seduce voters with Valentines.

Ann Ferris also sent cards to her constituents.

Jerry Buttimer had Valentine’s chocolate bars:

Lorraine Higgins favoured serenading the voters:

And Kevin Humphries was handing out roses:

What a romantic bunch.
