It provides some dry answers ahead of Apple’s 9 September event.

LAST NIGHT, APPLE sent out the invitations for its keynote event which will take place on 9 September.

Its autumn event usually sees the launch of new iPhones. This year, the expected items are the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus but other devices like Apple TV and iPads may be announced as well.

The tagline ‘Hey Siri, give us a hint’ prompted some people to ask the digital assistant to see what it would say. Siri has a track record for providing dry and snarky answers and this time is no different.

Although just asking it for a hint in general will get the same response.

Not much is known about the upgrades (the S range of iPhones are usually refinements of the version before it) but it’s rumoured they will include a 12MP back camera, force touch – a way to recognise force-sensitive touches on a screen –  and 4K video recording.

It will also come with iOS 9 which was announced at WWDC over the summer.
