So, what's the weather like on Carrauntoohil?

It’s -4C, but boy is it pretty.

IF YOU ARE bemoaning the continuous cold weather, here’s a photo that will make you feel glad you’re indoors.

Noel Mulcair, a regular climber from Kilcornan Co Limerick, is in training for an expedition to the Karakoram range in Pakistan later this summer.

A member of the Limerick climbing club, he climbed to the top of Carrauntoohil this week, and told us that it is ‘absolutely beautiful’ up there, with no clouds to be seen.

The only catch? It’s -4 degrees centigrade on the summit…
