  • Hate to sound like an old fart ,I mean I’m only in my mid 30′s but I do remember in the days of the evening press/ herald a stabbing or a murder was major news .I think it is a couple of years ago that we began to average one murder a week in Ireland, how quickly we become desensitised to violent crime I don’t bat an eyelid when the word “stabbed” is printed now.

    • @ Edwin. Agreed. We have accepted violent crime as if it is some type of unstoppable part of progress instead of one of the most virulent cancers in Irish society. Nobody is interested in stopping it genuinely. Hence it flourishes.

  • Sounds bad I know but we will be ok people, the Government have a solution For all crimes committed in this country. They are going to Slash Garda Numbers Once More And ensure That The Ones Left Have No Garda Transport To Attend 999 / 112 Emergency Calls and No Money To Put Fuel In Their Own Cars So They Can Travel To Work.
