Man arrested after gardaí recover two caravans, 4x4 and power tools in Kilkenny

There have a number of burglaries in the area over the last few weeks.

GARDAÍ HAVE RECOVERED several items after searching a premises in south county Kilkenny today.

There have a number of burglaries in the area over the last few weeks.

During the course of the search gardaí said “a substantial amount of property was recovered” including two caravans, a 4×4 vehicle, a trailer, quad bikes and a large variety of power tools.

Gardaí from Thomastown and detectives carried out the search as part of Operation Thor.

A man in his 20s was arrested this afternoon in the Kilkenny area in relation to this investigation. He is currently being detained at Thomastown Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Investigations are continuing.
