'Someone put it on a trailer and drove off': An entire house was stolen in Oregon

But don’t worry, it was found.

AN ENTIRE HOUSE stolen in Oregon, United States, has been found a short distance away.

The 1,200 square foot log cabin, built around a year ago, was reported missing on Tuesday local TV station KOBI reports.

“We had a complete home stolen,” Sheriff Frank Skrah is quoted as saying, noting that the house was not on wheels and built on a foundation.

This isn’t a motor home, this isn’t a mobile home, this is a ‘home’.

The house was located the following day just under a kilometre away.

“We think that somebody busted out the foundation, jacked it up, put a lowboy [trailer] underneath it and lowered it down on the lowboy and took it,” Skrah said.

It’s crazy. Who steals an entire house?

However, authorities now have another issue on their hands. KOBI reports that three people currently own the property (which was unoccupied at the time of the housenapping), but one recently sold it to a fourth person.

No charges have been filed.
