Poll: Do you think about how much sugar you consume?

The US has new guidelines.

THE US DEPARTMENT of Agriculture has revised down the amount of sugar people should eat a day.

The guideline could be bad news for soft drinks sellers, who make billions from sugary drinks.

It says that less than 10% of daily calories should come from added sugars. For women, that would roughly mean one Bounty bar a day and for men a Mars bar with no other sugar at all.

We’re asking: Do you think about how much sugar you consume?

Poll Results:

Yes (8739)
Not closely (4880)
No (2566)
I don't know (172)
