Gardaí investigate suspicious fire at school

The fire was reported yesterday at St Laurence O’Toole National School on Seville Place in Dublin.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING a suspicious fire at a Dublin school.

Gardaí in Store St said this afternoon that they are investigating all the circumstances surrounding a suspicious fire at St Laurence O’Toole National School, Seville Place, Dublin 1, yesterday.

Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene. The fire led to heat damage to the front of the school and extensive smoke damage to the  entire building.

No one was injured in the incident and the scene was preserved for a technical examination.

Gardaí in Store St are now appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious or unusual activity around the school or on neighbouring streets between 4am and 6am on 16 September to contact them on 01 6668000.
