Bags of sweets withdrawn by FSAI due to sharp plastic sticks in packs

BAGS OF SWEETS have been withdrawn by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) due to sharp plastic sticks being in the packs.

It says plastic sticks are affixed to some of the of the Wonkandy confectionery sweet.

The FSAI is warning that the sharp parts may cause injury to consumers.

The affected product is the Wonkandy Small New York Cake that comes in a pack size of 345g and has a best before date of 30 November 2017.

However the FSAI also advised that there may be a similar issue with the following Wonkandy confectionery products: Cake Large New York, Cake Big Rosa, Cake Big Primavera, Cake Big Arco Iris, Cake Small Primavera, Cake Small Croissant, Cake Small Tutti Frutti Red and Cake Small Tutti Frutti Blue.
