The teenager is being held at Finglas Garda Station.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a teenager after recovering two loaded handguns.

The male teenager was arrested in Finglas this morning after officers found the guns while searching a house.

He is being held at Finglas Garda Station and gardaí say that the investigations are continuing.

Commenting on the arrest and seizure local TD Noel Rock said, “Full credit to Finglas gardaí for their timely discovery today.

Finding two handguns which were loaded indicates that their intervention was made at the right time.

“It’s important we give them the resources they need to continue intervening and preventing the use of such weapons before something happens.”
